Announcement following the relaxation of Covid-19 Government restrictions
12th May 2020
Welcome back to our clients!, we are now open for Private lessons starting from the 13th May.
Please help us to stay open by being very aware, safety conscious and by ensuring that you continue to follow all Government advise and our own safety guidelines set out below.
All bookings are subject to our policies, guidelines and terms and conditions set out on this page.
These documents can be viewed online using the the table below, or downloaded to PDF for later reading, but please ensure you become familiar as they outline specific instructions which are there predominantly for your safety.

Prestige guidelines following Governments relaxation of restrictions 12/05/12
Welcome back to all our clients and please help us to stay open, by being very aware, safety conscious and following all government guides and our guidelines below
We are open for Private lessons from 13thMay conforming with national requirements, both to protect clients and staff.
We are only able to offer private lesson or shared private at this time.
Reception will remain closed. For bookings please email your requirements, as there will be restricted phone access. Payments to be made by card or bacs.
There will be no general access to the yard. Please park at the show end of the car park and walk to the waiting area at the back of the Pavilion, where your instructor will meet you and take you to your horse.
Only you will handle your horse and all tack will be sprayed/wiped between each rider.
We will check each booking and start of each lesson that clients are from households who have been observing strict social distancing, are non-symptomatic and who have observed all government requirements during lockdown.
Please use provided sanitising facilities on arrival and on departure. Please use all your own PPE including hats and clean gloves.
Please use the toilet facilities to make use of hand washing facilities.
Please only bring spectators from the same household.
We will be restricting lesson times and arena space to maintain social distancing
We kindly ask clients not to arrive at the stables more than 15 minutes before their lesson time and to leave when their lesson is completed to minimise the number of people at the centre.
New clients will be emailed client registration forms, to be printed, completed, signed and scanned back to us before the start of their lesson.
By booking a lesson you have acknowledged that you have read and accepted our terms and conditions.

Prestige Equestrian Arena Hire Guidelines Following Governments relaxation of restrictions 12/05/12
Welcome back to all our clients.
Please help us to stay open, by being very aware, safety conscious and follow all government and our guidelines below
We are open for outdoor arena hire from 13thMay conforming to national requirements, both to protect clients and onsite staff.
Arena Hire is outdoors and for private use unless shared with members of the same household. Please limit spectators – remember it is for exercise not to socialise!
Reception and The Show Office will remain closed. All bookings to be completed online, via MyRidingLife, with secure online payment. There will be no telephone access whilst the offices remain closed.
We kindly ask clients not to arrive for arena hire more than 15-20 minutes before their hire time and to leave when the hire is completed, to minimise the number of people at the centre.
At the end of each hire, all droppings should be removed, jumps returned to approx. 90cm-1m, no poles should be on the ground, all litter cleared etc. Please leave the arena as you would expect to find it.
There will be no general public access to the yard or other areas of the centre. Please park with a minimum distance of 2m between other vehicles in the lorry park.
Please bring and use your own PPE. We advise wearing gloves at all times when in the arena, opening gates, adjusting fences, poo picking tools. There will be sanitising spray/wipes located at the gate of each arena with gloves, but please bring your own where possible.
Toilets – There are permanent toilets located by main reception with hand washing facilities. The portable toilets in the lorry park are out of use for the time-being. If you can, please use your facilities at home!
Minimal spectators are permitted from the same household and all must follow correct guidelines for limiting groups size. Should you be coming alone, it is advised you notify a friend/family member of your hire times. The show office will be unmanned.
Coaches/Trainers – You can arrange to have your trainer visit during your hire providing all guidelines are met with regards to groups and meeting one person outside of your household.
By booking any arena hire you have acknowledged that you have read and accepted our terms and conditions. CCTV is in operation.

Booking Terms & Conditions
We offer 45 minute lessons for Private, Private for two and Groups
Private for two are for 2 or 3 riders and Groups are 4-8 riders.
45 Minute Group Lessons
In a group session where only one, 2 or 3 riders remain, you will be offered an alternative time or you may ‘top up’ your payment to receive a full 45mins private or private for 2 or 3 lesson.
45 Minute Private for Two Lesson
In a private for 2 lesson where the other rider(s) are unable to attend, you will be offered an alternative time or you may ‘top up’ your payment to receive a full 45mins private lesson
Group lessons are great for saving money, learn from an Instructor & other riders and socialising. If you would like to join a group, we will require you to attend a couple of Private Lessons to enable an Instructor to assess your riding level. As with most activities, riders progress at different speeds. Should you progress quicker than your group you may need to be re assessed and move to a more advanced group which may be at a different time or day.
Payments & bookings
We require bookings to be made in advance and to be paid for in full at the time of booking to secure the lesson. We are unable to hold any lessons without payment.
Prestige Equestrian has the right to increase prices without prior notice, although, when possible, one months notice will be given
Gift Vouchers are non-refundable or transferable and must be used within 12 months of purchase.
24 Hour Cancellation Policy
We operate a strict 24 hour cancellation policy for all lessons without exception. If a lesson is cancelled within 24 hours, the payment is non-refundable. If the lesson is cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice we can either re book straight away, transfer the money onto your account which you can use at a later date or ask for a refund.
We cannot accept cancellations / booking transfers via Facebook or email. Clients must ring within our opening hours and sort directly over the phone.
7 day Cancellation Policy for all Schools University bookings
14 day Cancellation Policy for all Event bookings
Lead rein may be required for beginner riders for safety reasons. This can be provided by a parent or friend. The Instructor will advise when lead rein is no longer required.
We hope you will be happy with all of our Instructors but if you feel you are not getting the best from the lesson please discuss your concerns with them or the Reception Team. You are more than welcome to transfer to another Instructor if you wish. We aim to keep the instructor of your choice for your lesson, but there are times of sickness, holidays, where this is not always possible and we are unable to let you know. But we guarantee that you will have a fantastic, highly qualified instructor as a replacement
We have a number of horses and ponies for all abilities and levels. They also have individual weight limits. We will match you with an appropriate horse and if you find a horse which you particularly like, the Reception Team is more than happy to add this ‘request’ to your details. We try to meet all horse ‘requests’ but we cannot guarantee this for all lessons as we limit their work loads and they require days off. If you would like to guarantee a specific horse, you can do this by paying an additional £10.
Equipment & Safety
All riders are required to wear:
- A riding hat. This can be your own riding hat or you can hire one from Reception for £1. The Reception Team will assist you in fitting your hat
- Appropriate foot wear; boots or wellingtons- something with a slights heel (roughly half and inch)
We strongly recommend wearing:
- Long sleeved tops
- Back protectors
- Loose trousers; jodhpurs or leggings.
And that you do not wear:
- Strappy Tops
- Jeans or Shorts
The Reception Team are happy to advise you further
Horses can sometimes be unpredictable and accidents occasionally happen. If you should have any kind of accident an Instructor will be on hand to assist you, implement First Aid if needed and/or get you back into your lesson. With any accident, however small, you will be required to complete an accident form. The Reception Team will assist you with this. We follow strict Health & Safety guidelines and you may receive a call after the lesson to see how you are.
Social Media & Website
You can follow us on Twitter or Facebook. We use these to update our clients and to advertise Events, Special Offers or Discounts.
Special Offers and Discounts are on a first come first served bases so early booking is recommended. Our 24 hour Cancellation policy will still apply to last minute bookings, if lessons are booked with less than 24 hours they are not refundable.
Compliments and Feedback
If you would like to put forward a compliment, please speak to Reception who will pass it onto the relevant member of staff. We would also like to encourage you to put it in writing which we would then like to use in our ‘Customer Testimonials’ on our website.
If you have any complaints please speak with Reception straight away and we will assist in resolving your concerns as quickly as possible, keeping you informed every step of the way.
Please try to keep your details up to date with us. There are times when we may need to contact you or return your call and this is difficult to do if telephone numbers have changed. An email address is a great way for us to communicate as this rarely changes.

Credit can be purchased and held on your account within our booking system. Credit will remain on your account 1 year from the purchase date.
Course and Pony club bookings
All Prestige Equestrian training courses and pony club activities are checked for viability around ten working days before each course date. Any that have insufficient numbers may be cancelled. In this case, clients who have booked will receive a full refund or offered an alternative option. All course and Pony Club fees are non-refundable if cancelled in less than 14 working days from the course start date. Cancellations prior to this will incur a 20% admin fee. If a course is cancelled, each client will be phoned, advising them of the cancellation and offered either a full refund or free transfer. It is important that each client ensures that we have their correct contact details. This must include a telephone number with an answering service and an email address. If messages are left for clients regarding a course cancellation, or if we are unable to leave a message and clients arrive for a course or activity that has been cancelled, it is their own responsibility and no refund will be given. Riding Outside Policy
At Prestige Equestrian we have 4 arenas, 2 indoor and 2 outdoor. During the summer months we also have Show Jump, Cross Country and dressage paddocks available to use. During busy periods we will use all four arenas as well as our paddocks. Although lessons are often held indoors, Prestige Equestrian does not guarantee indoor riding and clients should expect to ride both indoors and outdoors. Please bring wet weather clothing for all lessons.
Prestige Equestrian Does Not Accept Any Responsibility For illness, Injuries, Loss Or Damage To Property, Animals, Veterinary treatment, Equipment Or Vehicles left on the premises and advise that everything is labelled & insured.
