Terms & Conditions (Shows)
All horses/ponies/travel companions must be up to date vaccinations against Equine Influenza. For arena hire and unaffiliated shows, Prestige Equestrian accept annual boosters within 12 months but not less than 7 days before visiting us onsite. Please refer to relevant rule books for all affiliated competitions.
By making an entry or payment to any of our shows/hires, you are agreeing to our T&Cs that can be found on our website www.prestige.training
With your booking you acknowledge that you are taking part in a risk sport and that you are a competent rider at the level you are entering.
The show organisers have the right to cancel any, part of, or an entire show. Show organisers reserve the right to refuse entries without assigning a reason.
Prestige Equestrian, nor their officials, show organisers and agents cannot be held responsible for any accidents, theft, loss or damage, how so ever caused, arising out of or at the show.
Correct and safe dress must be worn at all times. Protective headgear must be worn at all times when mounted on any part of the showground. It is the duty of riders and in the interest of safety, to ensure that their headgear provides proper protection, is correctly fitted and remains in place.
As of July 1st 2020 dogs are not permitted onsite.
All owners and riders (where applicable, parents or guardians) of horses/ponies competing in any event shall be subject to the Rules & Regulations of British Showjumping/British Dressage.
No unauthorised persons shall enter the competition or collecting rings.
All payments should be via card or contactless where possible. Due to COVID-19 we would prefer to avoid cash payments at this time.
In the event of entries carried over or transferred, all show credit or held entries must be reused within 3 months of the original show date. Any credit or entries not used will be forfeited after this time.
Any entries unpaid by the end of the show day will incur an additional £10 admin charge. This includes declined cards and for each returned/damaged cheques.
Please note that if shows are busy, we may restrict entries and close classes. To guarantee an entry please pre-enter online. Due to COVID-19 we can only accept pre-entries online and all entries must be paid in full.
All unaccompanied competitors must provide the Show Organiser with a contact telephone number in case of an emergency.
Prize money in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 76.6 and British Dressage Rule 58. Prize money will be refunded electronically onto your original payment card, to arrive within 5-10 days. Note – please make sure all contact details are correct as we may need to contact you for additional information to process your prize money. After one week, prize money uncollected will be forfeited. No cash prize money will be paid
Refund of entry fees as stated in the relevant Societies Rule book (BD Rule 53 and British Showjumping Rule 81.5). The same rules apply for unaffiliated show entries – see each schedule for more details.
Riders competing in any class before entering will be charged an additional £10.
Medical cover in accordance with British Showjumping rule 73.8e.
Rules on stallions as per as per BS (Rule 102.13) and BD (Rule 87) found in each discipline’s respective Member’s Handbook.
Unaffiliated competitions will be run in accordance with the Rule Book of the relevant discipline and any amendments noted on individual schedules.
Each competitor, owner or where applicable, parent or guardian, shall be solely responsible for consequences of loss or damage done to, occasioned by, or arising from any animal in their care and indemnity the Show organisers & Prestige Equestrian, their officials, agents & invites against all liabilities, damages, actions, claims, proceedings, costs and/or expense in relation to or arising from his/her presence at the show.
Horses should not be left unattended or tied to the outside of lorries/trailers. There is a £10 fine for any horses found digging a hole in the car park.
There is a £50 fine for any horse poo/haynets emptied out onto the car park.
The judges’ decision is final. All objections must be lodged in writing with the Show Secretary within 30 minutes of the completion of judging of the competition involved. A deposit of £20.00 must accompany the objection, which will be returned if the Jury of Appeal upholds the objection.
Due to the huge volume of traffic on and off the site, we are unable to keep the main entrance gate closed. Please be aware of this and do not tie horses up outside their box. Please only enter if you are happy to accept that the gates are open at all times, when the centre is open.
All arena hire bookings taken online. Payment must be received in advance of the hire, using our online booking system. No refunds will be given for arena hire.
Due to COVID-19, transfers of arena hire are not available for bookings made after 07th May 2020.
Hire times must be adhered to, if this time period is not respected an additional charge will incur for the additional time overrun or the slot will be forfeited. Only access the arena you have hired and refrain from using any other arena, unless otherwise stated.
If the main gates are closed on arrival please call 07866 548471 for access.
All droppings must be cleared from the arena and standing areas before departure. Any droppings left in the arena after the hire will incur a £10 charge. CCTV is in operation.
All breakages are to be reported to the Show Office and paid for before leaving the facilities. Failure to do so will result in an additional charge of £10 per unreported item. Costs include but are not limited to: Broken Pole – £20 each Broken Wing – £40 each Broken Filler – £30-50 each (depending on damage) Damaged Trees/Plants – £20 each.
