Tuition Terms & Conditions
We offer 45 minute lessons for Private and Shared Private for two to four.
45 Minute Shared Lessons
In a shared session where there is only one rider, you will be offered an alternative time or you may ‘top up’ your payment to receive a private lesson.
We have a few lovely schoolmaster horses for you to start on and then progress onto our more forwards schoolmaster horses.
Depending on the lesson you book, your lesson content will be based on the following:
Rate 1 Dressage – Novice to Elementary Level
Rate 1 Jumping – Pole work, Novice, Capable to 80cm Level
Rate 2 Dressage – Medium to Grand Prix
Rate 2 Jumping – Capable to 1.20m Level
Our schoolmasters are beautiful, forwards, kind horses, please only book a rate 2 schoolmaster if you are established and balanced in canter. and we may not be able to continue with your lesson due to riding ability and/or H&S restrictions and cannot offer any refunds.
We have a duty of care to assess ability and competency at each level. Your lesson will start indoors and will progress, depending on the rapport between a new horse/rider partnership.
We have a 12.5 stone weight limit, depending on height/fitness/ability.
Payments & bookings
We have an online booking system and customer service email system for all bookings. We require bookings to be made in advance and to be paid for in full at the time of booking to secure the lesson. We are unable to hold any lessons without payment. Any credit on your account will be monetary credit, not number of lessons credit as any price increases may change the value of your lesson. Only 1 offer is available per booking. All offers are non-refundable or transferable.
Prestige Equestrian has the right to increase prices without prior notice, although, when possible, one months notice will be given
Gift Vouchers and all other offers are non-refundable or transferable and must be used within 12 months of purchase.
48 Hour Cancellation Policy
We operate a strict 48 hour cancellation policy for all lessons without exception. If any lesson is cancelled within 48 hours, the payment is non-transferable. If the lesson is cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice you may re-schedule your booking either online or by email. Refunds are subject to a 25% administration fee.
We can only accept cancellations/booking transfers by email or online outside of the 48 hours start time of your lesson. We do not accept any cancellations/booking transfers via Facebook or any social Media.
7 day Cancellation Policy for all Schools University bookings
14 day Cancellation Policy for all Event bookings
Credit can be purchased and held on your account within our booking system. Credit will remain on your account 1 year from the purchase date and apply for monetary credit, not number of lessons credit, due to any price increases that may occur in the year
We hope you will be happy with all of our Trainers but if you feel you are not getting the best from your lesson, please discuss your concerns with them or email our customer service. You are more than welcome to transfer to another Trainer if you wish. We aim to keep the Trainer of your choice for your lesson, but there are times of sickness, holidays, where this is not always possible and we are unable to let you know. But we guarantee that you will have a fantastic, highly qualified trainer as a replacement.
We choose the horses for your lessons and according to their work rota and we do not allow horse requests. Everyone has favourite horses and horses that they find more challenging, but that improve their riding.
Equipment & Safety
All riders are required to wear:
- Their own riding hat and gloves, due to Covid-19 restrictions
- Appropriate foot wear; boots or alternative with a slight heel (roughly half an inch)
We strongly recommend wearing:
- Long sleeved tops
- Back protectors
- Loose trousers; jodhpurs or leggings.
And that you do not wear:
- Strappy Tops
- Jeans or Shorts
Horses can sometimes be unpredictable and accidents occasionally happen. If you should have any kind of accident an Instructor will be on hand to assist you, implement First Aid if needed and/or get you back into your lesson. With any accident, however small, you will be required to complete an accident form. The Reception Team will assist you with this. We follow strict Health & Safety guidelines and you may receive a call after the lesson to see how you are.

You can follow us on Twitter or Facebook. We use these to update our clients and to advertise Events, Special Offers or Discounts.
Special Offers and Discounts are on a first come first served bases so early booking is recommended. Our 24 hour Cancellation policy will still apply to last minute bookings, if lessons are booked with less than 24 hours they are not refundable.
Compliments and Feedback
If you would like to put forward a compliment, please email customer service who will pass it onto the relevant member of staff. We would also like to encourage you to put it in writing which we would then like to use in our ‘Customer Testimonials’ on our website.
If you have any complaints please speak to your Trainer straight away and we will assist in resolving your concerns as quickly as possible, keeping you informed every step of the way.
Please keep your details up to date with us. Our online booking system, will ask you to update your details annually. There are times when we may need to contact you or return your call and this is difficult to do if telephone numbers have changed. An email address is a great way for us to communicate as this rarely changes.
Courses and Training camp bookings
All Prestige Equestrian training camps and courses are checked for viability around ten working days before each course date. Any that have insufficient numbers may be cancelled. In this case, clients who have booked will receive a full refund or offered an alternative option.
All course and training camp fees are non-refundable if cancelled in less than 14 working days from the course start date. Cancellations prior to this will incur a 25%
administration fee. If a course is cancelled, each client will be phoned, advising them of the cancellation and offered either a full refund or transfer. It is important that each client ensures that we have their correct contact details. This must include a telephone number with an answering service and an email address. If messages are left for clients regarding a course cancellation, or if we are unable to leave a message and clients arrive for a course or activity that has been cancelled, it is their own responsibility and no refund will be given. Riding Outside Policy
At Prestige Equestrian we have 4 arenas, 2 indoor and 2 outdoor. During the summer months we also have Show Jump, Cross Country and dressage paddocks available to use. During busy periods we will use all four arenas as well as our paddocks. Although lessons are often held indoors, Prestige Equestrian does not guarantee indoor riding and clients should expect to ride both indoors and outdoors. Please bring wet weather clothing for all lessons.
Prestige Equestrian Does Not Accept Any Responsibility For illness, Injuries, Loss Or Damage To Property, Animals, Veterinary treatment, Equipment Or Vehicles left on the premises and advise that everything is labelled & insured.
Prestige Equestrian LLP reserves the right to change the above terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made then the revised terms and conditions will be posted on the website immediately.
